There is no verified official route line or fixed direction for a trail named “Circuito de Ezcaray”, so plan around the local circular paths, forest tracks and valley routes rather than expecting a single waymarked itinerary. Nearby real options include the Ruta de los Siete Puentes, GR-93 towards San Millán de la Cogolla, GR-190 towards Monasterio de Valvanera, the Camino de la Herradura and the Vía Verde del Oja. Ezcaray: Royal Privileges and Wool-Cloth Heritage

Ezcaray’s valley history is unusually rich for a small mountain base. It was repopulated by Sancho Garcés I in the early 10th century and later passed to Castile under Alfonso VI in 1074. In 1312, Ferdinand IV granted the Valle de Ezcaray privileges including tax and toll exemptions and local justice rights, lasting until 1876. The town also became a wool-cloth centre, with the Real Fábrica de Paños de Santa Bárbara founded in 1752. The medieval church of Santa María la Mayor remains a key landmark.
